Benita Mendoza Cortez, 77 yrs. old of Dover, Florida passed away on September 30, 2020 in St. Petersburg, Florida. Shortly after, her husband, Antonio Cortez Jr. 71 yrs old of Dover, Florida passed away on October 9, 2020 in Houston, Tx. Benita was born in San Benito, Tx. to Marcial Mendoza and Monica Alonzo on April 03, 1943. She went to high school at San Benito High School and graduated in 1960. A loyal daughter, sister and aunt, Benita devoted her life to her husband, daughters and 6 grandkids. She will be greatly missed by all her friends, family, children, and grandchildren. May you rest easily mami, You will forever live in our hearts and memories. Antonio was born in San Benito, Tx to Antonio Cortez Sr and Juanita Aleman Cortez on August 24,1949. A loyal son, brother and uncle, Antonio devoted his life to his wife, daughters and 6 grandkids. He will be greatly missed by all his friends, family, children, and grandchildren. A Funeral Mass will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 16, 2020 at St. Theresa Catholic Church in San Benito, Texas. Cremaqtion will follow in accordance to their wishes.
