Roberto Gonzalez 46, a resident of Los Fresnos passed away September 09, 2020 in Harlingen, Texas.
He was born on June 23, 1974 in Brownsville, TX and grew up in Los Fresnos, TX where he also graduated. He was a father of two; Delilah Vogt, Ivan Gonzalez and a grandfather of 9 children.
Robert left so many memories with family and friends. He loved helping people and that is one of the reasons he became a nurse.
Robert was a great person, a son, a brother, a father, grandfather, and uncle.
He was compassionate, trustworthy, loving, caring, and a hard worker. Those were some of his qualities that made people love him and be close to his family.
Robert loved to read and he also loved nature and collecting antiques. He enjoyed traveling and sightseeing. We could never finish speaking of all Robert’s qualities. He was loved by many people friends and family. He will be missed.
He is preceded in death by his father: Manuel Gonzalez.
He is survived by his mother, Lucia R. Gonzalez; his son; Ivan Gonzalez and daughter; Delilah Vogt. Siblings: Mary (Joe) Gonzalez Enriquez, Manuel (Claudia) Gonzalez, Claudia (Agustin) Gonzalez Salazar, Elizabeth (Arturo) Gonzalez Briseño, Araceli Gonzalez, Ramiro Gonzalez, Luis Alfredo (April) Gonzalez, and Jorge Isaac Gonzalez; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 23, 2020 from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m., with prayer service at 7 p.m., at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home.
A chapel service will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, September 24, at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home with burial to follow at Los Cuates Community Cemetery.
Due to current restrictions, this establishment will follow the 25% occupancy limit and all persons shall institute social distancing of a minimum space of 6 feet apart. All individuals must wear face coverings or masks. (May include bandanas or sewn or cloth face coverings).
