I first met Joe through his future wife Carlene when we attended American Airlines Stewardess Training in Dallas in 1966. Carlene moved to NYC with me after we graduated. She and Joe had been dating so he came to NY and we had a number of “adventures”! He was handsome, adventurous, funny and crazy!!! We laughed a lot! One vivid memory was a hot summer day in NYC when I was supposed to meet him on the corner of 34th and 3rd at rush hour. While waiting for him, I noticed that the traffic was backed up -apparently because I had on a short sleeveless jumper which was not normal dress in NYC at that time. Horns were honking and people were hawking ... then who comes down the street but Joe with a cast on his leg, wearing shorts and a Hawaiian shirt!!! What a sight!! When I think of Joe, I smile! He was one of a kind.
