Olivia Mendoza Rodriguez passed away peacefully on August 22, 2020. Olivia Mendoza and Domingo Rodriguez were married for 44 years and had 9 children together. Olivia was a woman of wisdom and faith. She was a caring mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who could always be counted on to provide love, prayers, and guidance. She was preceded in death by her husband, Domingo Rodriguez; and sister Virginia Almaraz. Surviving her are her children: Oralia (Eleazar) George, Ofelia (+Christopher) Hess, Juan (Oralia) Rodriguez, Olivia (+Vicente) Flores, Benigna (Hector) Lozano, Olga (+Rudolf) Vela, Domingo (Sorayda) Rodriguez Jr, Odilia (Israel) Pina, and David (Katie) Rodriguez; 20 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 1, 2020 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a holy rosary at 7:00 p.m., at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 2, 2020 at Mont Meta Memorial Park. Serving as pallbearers are: David Rodriguez, Daniel Rodriguez, Brandon Campos, Aris Vela, Omar George, Damian Galvan, Manuel Perez, and Tony Campos.
