Nora Hilda Sanchez, 54 of Laguna Heights, Texas, passed away Tuesday, August 25, 2020, in Harlingen, Texas. Her smile lit up the room when she’d walk in. She was an amazing wonderful and supportive person. Her students recognized her everywhere she’d go. She loved cooking for the entire family. An optimistic, loving, and caring women, mother, aunt, sister, and daughter. She was the rainbow when skies were grey. She loved her summer kids (Mikey, Madison, and Madeline). She’d cook spaghetti to make them happy. She was a mother figure to her nieces and nephews. She’d always put everyone first before herself no matter the situation. She is preceded in death by her father Mr. Eliezar Valdez Garza Jr, nephew; Adrian Guillen, mother in law; Monica Sanchez. Nora is survived by her loving husband Juan Sanchez Jr, daughter; Mellisa Sanchez, sons; Elias Sanchez (Ilse), Christopher Sanchez (Annabertha), and her mother Paula Diaz Garza, father in law Juan Sanchez Sr. , sisters; Delfina (Enrique) Hernandez, Ana Garza and serval nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles. Due to current restrictions, this establishment will follow the 25% occupancy limit and all persons shall institute social distancing of a minimum space of 6 feet apart. A visitation will begin on Thursday, September 3, 2020 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, Texas. A graveside service will be held on Friday September 4, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at the Port Isabel City Cemetery in Port Isabel, Texas.
