David Ricardo Candelas, 52, lifetime resident of San Benito, Texas, entered into the eternal Kingdom of our Lord Jesus Christ on August 18, 2020 at Valley Baptist Medical Center. He was born on May 21, 1968 to Roberto Candelas Sr and Antonia Lara Candelas. He was preceded in death by his father Roberto Candelas Sr and brother Roberto Candelas Jr. He is survived by his mother Antonia Lara Candelas from San Benito; two brothers: Miguel Oscar (Soledad) Candelas and Antonio Candelas; sisters: Aurora Leticia Candelas, Irma Candelas, Maria Leos, Rebecca (+Rey) Carrizales, Norma Aleida (Feliciano) Aranjo, Sandra (Ricardo) Chapa, and Yvette (Marcos) Gonzales; as well as numerous nephews and nieces. Visitation will be held on Monday, August 31, 2020 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a holy rosary at 7:00 p.m., at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 1, 2020 at Mont Meta Memorial Park. Serving as pallbearers: Ramon de Luna, Alfonso de Luna, Adrian Chapa, Lionel Carrizales, Marcos Jacob Gonzales, and Emilio Leos with Miguel Oscar Candelas as an honorary pallbearer.
