It is with great sadness that the family of Samuel Mata announce his passing on the day of August 19, 2020 at the age of 21 years. He will be lovingly remembered by his mother: Nora Villarreal; father: Secundino Mata III; stepfather: Nicholas Lugo; sisters: Alexandra and April Mata; stepsister: Jordan R. Lugo and nephew: Elliot Josiah. He will also be dearly missed by his grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Samuel was a very loving, kindhearted, and affectionate soul. He was always willing to lend a helping hand. Samuel always made sure his family knew how much he loved them all. He will be deeply missed. Visitation will begin Wednesday, August 26, 2020, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home with a graveside service at 3:00 p.m. at Mont Meta Memorial Park in San Benito, Texas. Due to current restrictions, this establishment will follow the 25% occupancy limit and all persons shall institute social distancing of a minimum space of 6 feet apart.
