Mary Stone Eagan, 98, of San Benito, Texas, passed away on April 23, 2012 at Valley Regional Medical Center in Brownsville, Texas. Mary S. Eagan was born March 18, 1914 in Rutland, Vermont to Harold L. and Mary C. Stone. She was preceded in death by her husband, William F. "Bill" Eagan; and her siblings: Marguerite Farris, William F. Stone, and John C. Stone. She is survived by her son, Brule Eagan of San Benito; daughter, Carol Celata of Wilmington, Massachusetts; stepson, Dennis Eagan of Colorado Springs, Colorado; adopted daughter, Jennifer Lee of San Francisco, California; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 26, 2012 from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a holy rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m., at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito. A chapel service will be held on Friday, April 27, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park in San Benito.
