Crispin Caraveo Sr., 87, of Los Fresnos, Texas, passed away Sunday, August 9, 2020. He was an army soldier from 1956-1958, stationed in Ft. Riley, Kansas. He was married in 1954 to Eudelia Moreno Caraveo for 66 years in April. Crispin had eight children and worked as a truck driver most of his life. He loved to dance guapangos, redovas, chotiz, and all other styles of dance. Crispin was always laughing and joking around. He was a very good person to everyone and loved all his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He will be greatly missed. He preceded in death his son, Jose Alfredo Caraveo; brothers, Edeurjes Infante, David Caraveo, and Lorenzo Caraveo; and sisters, Marcela Caraveo and Jesusa C. Silva. Crispin is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Eudelia Moreno Caraveo; children, Crispin (Sylvia) Caraveo Jr, Leonor C. (Ricardo) Garcia, Jose Antonio Caraveo, Juan Alberto (Virginia) Caraveo, Jorge Luis (Silvia) Caraveo, Cristina C. (Geoffrey) Arnold, and Bernardo (Loribeth) Caraveo; along with 30 grandchildren and 39 great grandchildren. A visitation will begin Monday, August 17, 2020, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a holy rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, Texas. A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 18, 2020, at St. Cecilia Catholic Church and burial will follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park in San Benito, Texas. Due to current restrictions, this establishment will follow the 25% occupancy limit and all persons shall institute social distancing of a minimum space of 6 feet apart. All individuals must wear face coverings or masks. (may include bandanas or sewn or cloth face coverings).
