San Juanita Gallegos, 70 of San Benito, Texas, passed away on Sunday, July 19, 2020, in Harlingen, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents, Juan Sr. and Josefa Gallegos; siblings, Pablo Gallegos, Lupe B. Garcia, Juan Gallegos Jr., Julia Gallegos, Maria Gallegos Martinez, and Lydia Gallegos Garcia. San Juanita is survived by her children, Cynthia Gallegos, Tina Cavazos, Reuben Gallegos, and Roel Gallegos; nine grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and her sisters, Irma G. Ponce and Oralia Gallegos Mena. Visitation will begin Monday, July 27, 2020, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a holy rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, Texas. A chapel service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 28, 2020, at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home and burial will follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park in San Benito, Texas. Due to current restrictions, this establishment will follow the 25% occupancy limit and all persons shall institute social distancing of a minimum space of 6 feet apart.
