Antonio Gonzalez AKA “El Tiburon”, 52 of Port Isabel, Texas, passed away on Friday, July 17, 2020. He was born in Veracruz, Mexico and migrated to Port Isabel with his wife and kids. He was a big fan of the Tiburones Veracruz soccer team. He was a welder all his life, he loved to be with his family and will always be remembered as a dedicated husband, father and friend. Antonio is survived by his loving wife, Sonia Ochoa; son, Daniel Gonzalez; daughter; Marla Gonzalez; parents; Consuelo Ortiz and Antonio Gonzalez Sr., brothers and sisters; Jorge Gonzalez, Maurilio Gonzalez, Antonio Gonzalez, Angela Gonzalez, Martha Gonzalez, Andres Campos, Patricia Campos and Maria Del Consuelo Campos as well as one grandson, Lionel Gonzalez. Visitation will begin Wednesday, July 22, 2020, from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, Texas, A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, July 23, 2020 at Port Isabel City Cemetery. Due to current restrictions, this establishment will follow the 25% occupancy limit and all persons shall institute social distancing of a minimum space of 6 feet apart.
