Obituary of Michael Lyle Todd

Michael Lyle Todd (Mike) passed away on July 7, 2020 at Valley Baptist Medical Center.
Mike was the rock that held his family together who loved his wife dearly, as well as his children and grandchildren. Mike was born at Dolly Vincent Memorial Hospital on March 9,1948 and was a life long resident of San Benito. Mike worked for CPL managing the CPL training center in Bayview for over twenty years. After retiring from CPL, Mike operated his own business for a few years and then Mike and his wife Aida drove for Swift Trucking for two years before completely retiring. Mike was one of the founding members of the Los Fresnos Rodeo serving the community for 31 years and chairman for over seventeen years. Under Mike’s leadership the rodeo blossomed to what it is today. Mike was loved by many and will be dearly missed.
Mike leaves behind his wife of 24 years Aida Castillo Todd, his children, Crystal Todd, Joby Castillo Todd, Dillon Castillo Todd and step-children Ruben Castillo, Jessica Castillo, Ruby Castillo, Nina Barrientos, 10 grandchildren, 5 nieces, 5 nephews, 5 grand-nieces and 9 grand-nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents William Donald Todd and Alice Oleta Todd, his brothers Samuel Lynn Todd, William Gayle Todd and sister-in-law Geraldine Louise (Gause) Todd. He is survived by his bothers James Donald Todd, Benny Jean Todd and his sister Sandra Sue (Todd) Swint (William Bryan Swint).
At this time there will be no funeral services due to COVID-19. A memorial service will be held at a later time.
