Victor C. Garcia, 75, who passed away on Tuesday June 30th, 2020, at Valley Baptist Medical Center. He was born September 9, 1944 in El Ranchito, Texas. Victor was a lifelong resident of San Benito. He is preceded in death by his parents, Benito and Raquel Garcia. Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Olga Garcia of San Benito; four sons, Jose Luis Garcia of San Benito, Ricky Garcia of Harlingen, Victor Garcia Jr. of Houston, and Danny Garcia of San Benito; two daughters, Melinda Garcia of San Benito and Belinda Garcia of Fremont, Ohio; two brothers, Benito Garcia Jr. of Michigan and George Garcia of El Ranchito; five sisters, Silvia Garcia of Nebraska, Elida Saucedo of San Benito, Diana Garcia of San Benito, Dalia Leal of La Paloma, and Raquel Pena of McAllen; 15 grandchildren; and 2 great grandchildren. A holy rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 2nd, 2020, at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home Chapel. A funeral mass will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, July 3rd, 2020, at St. Benedict Catholic Church, 351 S. Bowie St., San Benito, Texas, and burial will follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park. Due to current restrictions, this establishment will follow the 25% occupancy limit and all persons shall institute social distancing of a minimum space of 6 feet apart.
