Magdaleno “Guero” Correa, 59 of Rio Hondo, Texas, passed away on Saturday, June 13, 2020. Guero enjoyed spending his mornings & evenings tending to his garden. His favorite hobbies included fishing, swimming in the arroyo, and spending quality time with his 8 grandchildren. Guero was a hard-working man with a young soul, he brought out a smile in everyone he met. Guero disfrutaba sus mañanas y tardes atendiendo su jardín. Sus pasatiempos eran pescar, nadar y pasar tiempo con sus nietos. Guero fue un hombre trabajador con un alma joven siempre trajo alegria a quienes lo acompañaban. He is preceded in death by his mother, Martina Covarrubias; and brothers, Reyes Correa and Emilio Correa. Magdaleno is survived by his wife, Rosario Correa; his father: Alfonso Correa; three daughters: Magdalena, Ana, and Flor Correa; one son: Adrian Correa; his sons-in-law: Ricardo Franco and Oscar Flores; his daughter-in-law: Claudia Correa; his grandchildren: Ricardo Franco, Angel Magdaleno Correa, Amariah Nicole Franco, Aliyah Rae Montalvo, Luke Samuel Flores, Adrian Alfonso Correa, Sophia Consuelo Franco, Aaron Javier Correa, and Lucia Elena Flores; his brothers: Victoriano, Martin, Baudelio, Luis, and Roberto Correa; his sisters: Ingracia, Concepcion and Feliciana. A visitation will begin Friday, June 19, 2020, from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Memorial Service at 7:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, Texas. Due to current restrictions, this establishment will follow the 50% occupancy limit and all persons shall institute social distancing of a minimum space of 6 feet apart. All individuals must wear face coverings or masks. (may include bandanas or sewn or cloth face coverings).
