Maria Severita Perez (Tita), born July 28, 1927 in El Ranchito, Texas to Manuel Villarreal Sr. and Eugenia Garcia Villarreal. She was called home to Our Lord on Friday, June 5, 2020 on Dallas, Texas at the age of 92. She is preceded in death by her parents, Manuel Sr. and Eugenia Villarreal; husband, Prajediz Perez; son Roque Perez Sr.; daughter, Ma. Isabel Hernandez; daughter-in-law, Janie Perez; brothers, Guadalupe and Crispin Villarreal; and sister, Rosita Espinoza. Maria is survived by her daughter, Rosie Romo; grandchildren, Rocky Perez Jr., Roman, LeeRoy Perez, Ivet, Annette, Rafael, Sandy, Krystal, and Paulina Romo; 13 great-grandchildren, sister, Concha V. Montez; brothers, Enrique, Remijio, Fernando, and Fr. Meme Villarreal O.M.I. Visitation will begin Thursday, June 11, 2020, from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a holy rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, Texas. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, June 12, 2020, at Garcia Cemetery in El Ranchito, Texas. Due to current restrictions, this establishment will follow the 50% occupancy limit and all persons shall institute social distancing of a minimum space of 6 feet apart.
