Juan Ramon Martinez, 59 of San Benito, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, June 3, 2020, in Harlingen. He is preceded in death by his father, Juan Martinez; brother, Gerardo Sanchez Martinez; nephew, Christopher Lee Martinez; niece, Katherine Mia Garcia; daughter, Mindy Martinez; and maternal grandparents, Herculano and Augustina Sanchez. Juan is survived by his wife, Leticia Martinez; three children, Juan Adrian (Ashlee) Arredondo, Jennifer Nicole (Brian) Diaz, and Juan Ramon Martinez Jr.; three granddaughters, Madison Claire Arredondo, Sophia Marie Arredondo, and Audrey Grace Arredondo; mother, Maria B. Martinez; and three sisters, Delia Green, Virginia Martinez, and Rachel (Mickey) Rodriguez. Juan Ramon Martinez will never be forgotten, for he was a humble and loving father, husband, son, brother, and grandfather. A visitation will begin Monday, June 8, 2020, from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a holy rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, Texas. A chapel service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 9, 2020, at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home with burial to follow at San Benito Memorial Park in San Benito, Texas. Due to current restrictions, this establishment will follow the 25% occupancy limit of 50 persons or less and all persons shall institute social distancing of a minimum space of 6 feet apart.
