Raquel C. Valencia, 82 of San Benito, Texas, passed away on Monday, June 1, 2020, at her residence on San Benito.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Demetrio Valencia; father, Justo Cortez; mother, Maria R. Cortez; brothers, Raul Cortez and Ramiro Cortez; sister, Rebecca C. Arismendi; and sons, Justo Valencia, Frankie Valencia, and Orlando Valencia.
Raquel is survived by her loving children, Adan Valencia (Colleen), Norma Aguirre (Albert), Leticia Martinez (Daniel), Eva Spector (Mark), Raquel Valencia, Vicente Arismendi Jr. (Norma), Gloria Arismendi (Robert), and Robert Arismendi (Tammy); 27 grandchildren; 27 hreat-grandchildren; and sister, Rosalinda Salazar.
A visitation will begin Thursday, June 4, 2020, from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, Texas.
Due to current restrictions, this establishment will follow the 25% occupancy limit of 50 persons or less and all persons shall institute social distancing of a minimum space of 6 feet apart. All individuals must wear face coverings or masks. (may include bandanas or sewn or cloth face coverings).
