Juan Carlos Torres, 46 of Los Fresnos, Texas, passed away on Sunday, May 24, 2020, in Harlingen, Texas. Juan Carlos Torres was the middle child from his siblings. He was an amazing son, brother, father, and grandfather. He worked and owned his own construction company for most of his life and did plenty of foundations and driveways all over the Rio Grande Valley. He was an extremely hard-working person with an even bigger heart, and an even greater personality, he was very well known all throughout the small town of Los Fresnos where he also attended school and graduated. He was always there to lend a helping hand to anybody in need no matter his own situation. He was funny and loved to always joke around. Although he had a lot on his plate with work and his own health issues, he always made time to attend his children's or grandchildren's sporting events even if he was covered in cement or straight out of dialysis. Carlos was always there. He also always made sure not to schedule Dr's appointments or to get out of work early on Friday nights to always attend those high school football games. Juan Carlos Torres was a man who never gave up on anything no matter how difficult the situation, he was the type of man that would always find a solution. He will be forever missed. Juan is survived by his two children, CJ (Ivone) Torres and Anayissa J. Torres; two granddaughters, Samantha M. Perez and Alixsandra Perez; his parents, Aristeo and Juanita Torres; and two siblings, Carmen (Ernest) Saldana and Aristeo Torres Jr. Visitation will begin Monday, June 1, 2020, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. with a Memorial Service at 1:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, Texas. Due to current restrictions, this establishment will follow the 25% occupancy limit of 50 persons or less and all persons shall institute social distancing of a minimum space of 6 feet apart.
