Margaret Esparza, wife of Roman Esparza, died on February 26, 2020 at the age of 82. Margaret, an only child, was born in Teaneck Township, New Jersey. As a flight attendant for Braniff International Airways in the late 1960’s, Margaret travelled the world and situated in Dallas, Texas where she met Roman. Margaret and Roman married in Dallas and had their two children, Dino Esparza and Mark Esparza. After Mark’s birth, Roman and Margaret moved to Brownsville which became Margaret’s new home. Being an only child from the northeast, Margaret was amazed and welcomed by the South Texas culture. Margaret loved and cherished her family. After providing for Dino and Mark, Margaret lived her life for her grandchildren. Her grandchildren Jacob (19), Elise (15), Mark (15) and Adriana (13) made her so proud and happy. Margaret’s genealogy hobby and working on the family tree was about the only commitment that could distract her from her grandchildren. Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Margaret Eisele. She is survived by: Husband - Roman Esparza; Children – Roman “Dino” Esparza (Jennifer) and Mark Esparza (Adriana); and Grandchildren – Jacob, Elise, Mark and Adriana. Visitation will be held Friday, February 28, 2020 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. with a chapel service beginning at 5:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, Texas.
