Marilyn Jean Melino, 89, of South Padre Island, TX, passed away on January 7, 2020. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and a dear friend to many. Marilyn is survived by her sons Joe, Bob, and Jim, daughter Deborah, 10 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren, as well as several relatives and numerous friends. Originally from Holyoke, MA, Marilyn and her husband, Joe, raised their children near Syracuse, NY, before moving to South Padre Island 27 years ago. After graduatng from nursing school, Marilyn was a nurse in many capacities for much of her time before and while in the Syracuse area. A viewing will be held on Saturday, January 11, 2020, from 9:15 - 10:00, at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church, with mass immediately following.
