Obituary of Heriberto Arriola

Heriberto Arriola, 79 of Port Isabel, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, November 20, 2019. He was a lifelong resident of Port Isabel and member of Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church. Heriberto was a captain in the shrimping industry and an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. He was known as “Daddy Eddie” to all his family.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Pomposo and Matilde Zurita Arriola; and siblings, Enrique Arriola, Ceferino Rivera, and Modesto Rivera.

Heriberto is survived by his children: Erika Arriola Wilson, Heriberto Arriola Jr., Reynaldo Arriola, Leticia Arriola, Marion Lock McGlory, and Fred (Bo Bode) Lock Jr.; three grandchildren, Jon Erick Martinez, Shawnie E’Lane Adams, and Ty Logan Bode; two great-grandchildren: Layla Noel Martinez and Lyrick Jon Martinez; and three sisters, Mary Battenfield, Francisca “Panchita” Tamez, and Josefina Howard.

Visitation will begin Monday, November 25, 2019, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a holy rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church, 705 S. Longoria St., Port Isabel, Texas.

A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Port Isabel City Cemetery.
