Obituary of Maria Elena Cantu

Maria Elena Cantu, 54, of San Benito, Texas, passed away on Thursday, October 17, 2019.

She is preceded in death by her parents Elizandro and Romana Romero Cantu as well as her brother Jose Guadalupe Cantu.

Maria is survived by her loving husband, Isaias Ponce; daughter, Lizeth Ponce Cantu; son; Elizandro Medrano Cantu; two sisters, Julianita Muniz and Maria De La Luz Cantu as well as several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will begin Wednesday, October 23, 2019, from 12:00 noon to 9:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, Texas.

A chapel service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 24, 2019, at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home with burial to follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park.
