Pablo B. Villarreal, 66, of Port Isabel, Texas passed away on Saturday, March 03, 2012 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Pablo was a lifetime resident of Port Isabel and a member of Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church. He worked at Laguna Madre Water District for 25 years and retired in 2007. On his free time he enjoyed working at Jim's Pier at South Padre Island filleting fish for the fishing guides, charter captain, and tourist.
He survived by his loving wife, Anita H. Villarreal of Port Isabel; 3 sons, Pablo "Paul" (Barbara) Villarreal Jr. of Laguna Vista, Jose "Joe" Villarreal of Port Isabel and Pablo (Lydia) Villarreal III of Port Isabel; 2 daughters, Judy (Oscar) Valenzuela of Port Isabel and Eulogia (Raymond) Martinez of San Marcos, Texas; 10 grandchildren, Jo Ann Valenzuela, Sara L. Valenzuela, Priscilla Villarreal, Daniella J. Martinez, Morgan Maleck, Sierra Villarreal, Joe Nicolas Villarreal, Hannah J. Villarreal, Andrea Martinez and Risa Ann Martinez; 5 Great Grandchildren, Pablo Villarreal IV, Amber Villarreal, Javier Villarreal, Jazmin Trujillo and Sara Nicole Gonzalez; and a brother, Sabino (Lupita) Villarreal of Laguna Vista, Texas.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 5, 2012 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a holy rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, Texas.
Visitation will continue on Tuesday, March 06, 2012 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with Mass of Resurrection to begin at 11:00 am, at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church, 705 S. Longoria St. in Port Isabel. Cremation will follow after the church services.
