Obituary of Teresa Arenas Vasquez

Teresa Arenas Vasquez, 75, of San Benito/Los Fresnos, Texas passed away on Thursday, August 29, 2019, in Rio Hondo, Texas.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Rogelio Vasquez; son, Rogelio Vasquez Jr.; and her mother, Maria De Jesus Almanza.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Leticia (Ricardo) Alaniz, Mariela Herrera, Maricela (Antonio) Cruz, Eloy (Judy) Vasquez, and Joel (Wendy) Vasquez; 14 grandchildren, Vanessa and Brittany Alaniz, Felipe Jr. and Amanda Herrera, Brandon Vitt, Veronica, Marco, and Gabriel Cruz, Eloy Jr. and Chelsea Vasquez, Troy Vasquez, Dannie Rae Vargas, Leroy, Kellie, and Joel Vasquez Jr.; 4 great-grandchildren; brother, Francisco Arenas; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will begin Monday, September 2, 2019, from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and will continue Tuesday, September 3, 2019, from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, Texas.

A chapel service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 4, 2019, at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home with burial to follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park in San Benito, Texas.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Felipe Herrera Jr., Troy Vasquez, Brandon Vitt, Marco Cruz, Leroy Vasquez, Brittany Alaniz, Vanessa Alaniz, Amanda Herrera, Chelsea Vasquez, Kellie Vasquez, Dannie Rae Vargas, and Veronica Cruz.
