Obituary of Lidia Sandoval Flores
Lidia Sandoval Flores, 76, of Rio Hondo, Texas passed away on Sunday, August 25, 2019, in Harlingen, Texas.
Lidia was a devoted wife and mother of five children. Years ago, she was a migrant worker and then worked at a daycare in Dixon, CA. After retirement she was a stay at home mom. Lidia loved her rose garden and spent many hours outside. She also loved to cut, clean, and can nopalitos.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Jesus Flores; daughter, Leticia Cantu; sons, Ricardo and Daniel Flores; mother, Cruz Sandoval; father, Enrique Sandoval; 5 grandchildren; 1 great grandchildren; and brother, Gilbert Sandoval.
Lidia is survived by her children, Patty Flores and Sylvia (Martin) Flores Yzaguirre; grandchildren, Ricardo Flores Jr., Liliana Flores, Jessica Perez, Nikki King, Katarina King, Bryan Flores and Daniella Flores; great grandchildren, Ricardo Flores III, Sofia Flores, Alejandro Perez Jr., and Mateo Perez; siblings, Socorro (Rafael) Garcia, Elva (Jose) Rincones; and Francisco Sandoval; and son-in-law, Jose R. Cantu Jr.
Visitation will begin Tuesday, August 27, 2019, from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, Texas.
A chapel service will be held 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 28, 2019, at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home with interment to follow at Las Yescas Cemetery in Las Yescas, Texas.
