As I sit here in Hermosa Beach, CA, writing, I realize that this family is holding service for your husband, father, grandfather, friend. It is with love, admiration and prayer that I remember my friend, Joe. I loved his wit and intelligence, I admired his kindness and sensitivity, and I pray for his final peace. His passing is unexpected and premature. He had much to live for.
It will take time, but I pray you all will find him in your memory with thanksgiving for a life well lived and loved.
