Obituary of Adelaida M. Morales

Adelaida M. Morales, 86, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family, on Friday July 12, 2019.

Adelaida was born December 18, 1932 in San Benito, TX to Reyes and Ramona Moran. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She retired after 32 years of dedicated nursing service to the Texas State Hospital. She was an avid volunteer in her community and at her parish St. Benedicts Catholic Church. She dedicated her life to God and shared her faith will all. She was a proud member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas #2390. Adelaida devoted her adult life to the Virgen of Schoenstatt and her proudest moment in her devotion was having her Schoenstatt Home Shrine blessed with a mass.

She is preceded in death by her parents Reyes and Ramona Moran, her brothers Ignacio Moran and David Moran, and her husband David Morales.

She is survived by her sister Fidela Garcia, children, Jesus Aguilera Jr(Rosanna)and Cynthia Aguilera Rios(Rolando Garza), her daughter-in-law Olivia Aguilera, and ten grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

She enjoyed traveling all around the world visiting holy sites and sharing her faith with others. She taught her family to put God first in all things and by doing so nothing was impossible. She will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew her.

Pallbearers are her grandsons Juan G. Aguilera, Jaime J. Rios Jr., Julian J. Rios and her nephews Santos Padilla, George Moran, and Milton Resendez.

Visitation will begin Tuesday, July 16, 2019, from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, Texas.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 17, 2019, at Our Lady Queen of the Universe Catholic Church with burial to follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park in San Benito, Texas.
