Obituary of Guadalupe Galvez

Guadalupe Galvez (Lupita), 78, passed away on Saturday, July 6, 2019, in Harlingen, Texas. She was born on March 25, 1941 in San Carlos, Tamaulipas to Rosendo and Leonor Martinez.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Rosendo (Leonor) Martinez; sisters, Agueda Cavasos, Antonia Martinez, Amparo Chavarria; brother, Pablo Martinez, Leonel Martinez; Son-in-law, Jesus Huerta.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Juanita (Eloy) Gomez, Paulita Huerta, Federico Galvez, Eloy (Marisol) Galvez; 15 grandchildren; 13 greatgrandchildren: brothers, Manuel (Antonia) Martinez, Napoleon (Imelda) Martinez, David (Beatriz) Martinez; sisters, Martha (Lucino) Ramirez, Francisca (Jose) Quintero, Consuelo (Juan) Santana, Elida (Jose) Chavez.

Visitation will begin Friday, July 12, 2019, from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, Texas.

A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 13, 2019, at St. Helen's Catholic Church with burial to follow at San Vicente Cemetery in Rio Hondo, Texas.
