Obituary of Adolfo De Garate Trevino

Adolfo De Gárate Treviño, 92, falleció en su casa rodeado de sus seres queridos el 28 de Mayo del 2019.  Don Adolfo ha ido a reunirse con el amor de su vida, su esposa Evarista L. Gárate (1935-2004). Don Adolfo fue residente de San Benito, TX desde 1989.

Le sobreviven su hijo; Adolfo Gárate de San Benito, TX; dos hijas, Maribel Gárate de Washington, DC; y Maria del Rosario Gárate de Plano, TX; su nuera, Sherrette Gárate-Estes de Washington, DC; su cuñado Roberto Leal de Brownsville Texas, así como una gran cantidad de familiares y amigos.

Don Adolfo tuvo una vida larga y fructífera la cual vivió con honestidad e integridad. Vivió dedicado a su familia y a su trabajo. Huérfano a temprana edad, Don Adolfo se forjó su propio camino en la vida a base de su trabajo, su dedicación y su tenacidad para salir adelante, lecciones que inculcó en sus hijos. Si había algo que componer, él era el primero en ofrecer su ayuda y sus herramientas. Conocido en vida por su buena memoria y su buen vestir, Don Adolfo será recordado por su integridad y devoción a sus deberes como esposo y padre. 

En lugar de enviar flores, la familia pide su colaboración para establecer una beca estudiantil. Nuestros padres siempre creyeron en el poder de la educación, y como ellos no tuvieron esa oportunidad se aseguraron de que sus hijos si la tuvieran. La Beca Estudiantil "Gárate-Leal" apoyará a otros jóvenes a que puedan estudiar.

La visita comenzará el miércoles 29 de mayo de 2019 a partir de las 12:00 p.m. a las 9:00 p.m. con un rosario a las 7:00 p.m. en la funeraria Thomae-Garza en San Benito, Texas.

Un servicio de capilla se llevará a cabo a la 1:00 p.m. el jueves, 30 de mayo de 2019, en la funeraria Thomae-Garza con entierro a seguir en Mont Meta Memorial Park en San Benito, Texas.

Adolfo De Gárate Treviño, 92, died in his house surrounded by his loved ones on May 28, 2019. Don Adolfo has gone to be with the love of his life, his wife Evarista L. Gárate (1935-2004). Don Adolfo was a resident of San Benito, TX since 1989.

He is survived by his son; Adolfo Gárate from San Benito, TX; two daughters, Maribel Garate from Washington, DC; and Maria del Rosario Gárate de Plano, TX; his daughter-in-law, Sherrette Gárate-Estes of Washington, DC; his brother-in-law Roberto Leal of Brownsville Texas, as well as many family members and friends.

Don Adolfo had a long and fruitful life, which he lived with honesty and integrity. He lived dedicated to his family and his work. Orphaned at an early age, Don Adolfo forged his own path in life with his work, his dedication and his tenacity to get ahead, lessons that he instilled in his children. If there was something that needed fixing, he was the first one to offer his help and tools. Known in life for his good memory and his impecable dressing style, Don Adolfo will be remembered for his integrity and devotion to his duties as a husband and father.

In lieu of sending flowers, the family asks for your help to establish a scholarship fund. Our parents were strong believers in the power of education and because they did not have the opportunity to study, they made sure their children did. The Scholarship Fund will allow young people access to education.

Visitation will begin Wednesday, May 29, 2019, from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, Texas.

A chapel service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 30, 2019, at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home with burial to follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park in San Benito, Texas.
