Obituary of Jose Angel Barrera Jr.

Jose Angel Barrera Jr., 75, of San Benito, Texas passed away on Thursday, May 9, 2019, in Harlingen, Texas.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Maria Barrera; father, Jose Angel Barrera Sr.; and brother, Beto Barrera.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Ofelia Barrera; daughters, Melinda Elizabeth Barrera, Patty (Abelardo Jr.) Torres, Diane Suarez, Cynthia Marissa Barrera, Norma Linda Barrera, Yolanda Elizabeth Barrera, and Amanda Maria Barrera; 6 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren, brother, Roberto (Eumelia) Barrera; sister in law, Corina (†Beto) Barrera; and numerous cousins, nephews, and nieces.

Visitation will begin Sunday, May 12, 2019, from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, Texas.

A chapel service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 13, 2019, at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home with interment to follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park in San Benito, Texas.
