Tomasa M. Gonzalez, 60, of Port Isabel, Texas, entered into Eternal Rest on Wednesday, February 15, 2012 at her residence. Tomasa was a lifelong resident of Port Isabel and a member of Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church. She worked for 3 Flags of Padre for 20 years. She was a very humble woman who was very dedicated to her children, her mother, family and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, Dionicio Gonzalez Sr.; granddaughter, Kaylee Nichole; father, Guillermo Martinez Sr.; and brother, Elias Henry Martinez. She is survived by her loving children, Dionicio "Kikito" Gonzales Jr and Yolanda Gonzalez, both of Port Isabel, Texas; her mother, Anita G. Manrique of Baytown, Texas; three sisters: Maria Irma Martinez of Port Isabel, Frances (Ramon) De Leon, and Janie Martinez, both of Baytown, Texas; and five brothers: Guillermo (Paula) Martinez Jr of Baytown, Texas, Jose Martinez of Port Isabel, Texas, Antonio (Teresa) Martinez of Hickory, North Carolina, Cirilo Martinez of Highland, Texas, and Eliseo Martinez of Baytown, Texas. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, friends, and other relatives. Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2012 from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm, with a prayer service at 7:00 pm, at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito. Visitation will continue on Sunday, February 19, 2012 from 12 noon to 4:00 pm at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home and from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm, with a holy rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm, at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church located on 705 S. Longoria St. in Port Isabel. Mass of resurrection will be held on Monday, February 20, 2012 at 10:00 am at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church. Committal service will follow at Port Isabel City Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are Guillermo Martinez III, Ramon De Leon, Jose Martinez, Jerry Galvan, Robert Barrera, Orlando Barrera, Rey Barrera, and Sebastian Lopez.
