Obituary of Benita F. Sanchez

Benita F. Sanchez, 86, of Los Fresnos, Texas passed away on Tuesday, May 7, 2019, in Harlingen, Texas. She was a lifelong resident of Los Fresnos.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Gorgonio Sanchez Jr.; son, Arnulfo Sanchez; and parents, Arnulfo and Anastacia Robles Flores.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving children, Juanita (Santonino) Samano, Ernestina (Hector) Reyes, Alicia (Cruz) Lopez, and Daniel (Linda) Sanchez; 14 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild; sisters, Ernestina (Santos Cruz) Flores, Josefina Flores, and Flora Flores; along with numerous nephews and nieces.

Visitation will begin Wednesday, May 8, 2019, from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, Texas.

A chapel service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 9, 2019, at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home with interment to follow at Los Cuates Cemetery in Los Fresnos, Texas.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Joe Villanueva, George Villanueva, Hector Reyes, Christopher Lopez, Daniel Sanchez Jr., and Joe Garza.
