Obituary of Maria E. Prieto

Maria E. Prieto, 63, of San Benito, Texas passed away on Tuesday, April 30, 2019.

Maria was a wonderful, loving, caring, beautiful mother. An amazing grandmother, a fabulous mother-in-law, and a true friend to those honored to have met her. She was a hard-working woman who loved to help others. She always received anyone who visited her home with open arms. She was the best mother in the world to her children. We were truly blessed to have her by our side always. We’re going to miss you dearly momma.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Natividad and Susana Barroso; husband, Francisco Prieto; and son-in-law, Ricardo Montez Sr.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Juana M. (Ricardo) Montez, Martha (David) Torres; sons, Luis (Carol) Prieto and Martin (Patricia) Prieto; grandchildren, JohnRay, Alek David Jr., Kristian, Juan III, Alexis, Jonathan, Alyna, Derek, Jo Anthony, Randy, Luis Jr., Arianny, Raylan, Ricki, Sophia, Caelan, and Victoria; siblings, Catalina (Celestina) Vasquez, Anacleto (Dolores) Barroso, Ismael (Maria) Barroso, Antonio (Lorena) Barroso, Felipe ( Maria de Jesus) Barroso, Zenon (Pamela) Barroso, David (Linda) Barroso, and Theodoro (Elva) Barroso; and many nephews and nieces.

Cremation service was followed in accordance with her wishes.

Graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 3, 2019, at San Benito Memorial Park.
