Obituary of Jose Geminiano Gallardo

Jose G. Gallardo, 89, of Los Fresnos, Texas passed away on Wednesday, March 20, 2019.

Jose came to Los Fresnos, Texas as a Brazero at the age of 17 where he met and married Benita who was 15. They resided in San Luis, Mexico and came back to Matamoros in 1959. They later made their home in Los Fresnos in 1984.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Benita Gallardo; daughters, Olivia Rangel and Martha Leticia Gallardo; and brothers, Pedro Gallardo and Jose Gallardo.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Hermelinda Solis, Maria Del Carmen Pinon, Maria Esther Gallardo, Maria Cristina Beltran, Graciela Barrera, Ramon Gallardo, Roberto Gallardo, Jose Francisco Gallardo; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Visitation will begin Friday, March 22, 2019, from 12:00 noon to 9:00 p.m. with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, Texas.

A funeral mass will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 23, 2019, at St. Cecilia Catholic Church with interment to follow at Los Cuates Cemetery in Los Fresnos, Texas.
