Obituary of Felix S. Guzman

Felix S. Guzman, 74, of San Benito, Texas passed away on Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at his residence in San Benito surrounded by his loving family.

He was a lifelong San Benito resident, an exceptional cook, carpenter, a man of many traits. Felix was a loving father, husband, grandfather, and great grandfather. He was always there to lend a helping hand.

He is preceded in death by his parents Anastacio and Bonifacia G. Guzman; son, Felix Guzman Jr.; brother, Geronimo Guzman; sister, Eva Guzman; two grandchildren, Jose Felix Guzman, and Aimiee Keiko Olvera; and one great grandchild, Elliana La’Rose Gallegos.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Esther Guerrero Guzman; his children, Juan (Angelica) Guzman, Adelaida Guzman, Jose Carlos Guzman, Elizabeth (Gilbert) Renteria, Norma Olvera, Senaida Guzman, and Nelson Guzman; 28 grandchildren; 40 great grandchildren; and siblings, Clemente (Felipa) Guzman, Adan (Cris) Guzman, Lazaro (Carmen) Guzman, Manuel (Flora) Guzman, Joel (Yolanda) Guzman, Rachel Guzman, Noemi Zamora, Rebecca Guzman, and Ruth (Jerry) Cruz.

Visitation will begin Friday, February 22, 2019, from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, Texas.

A chapel service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 23, 2019, at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home with interment to follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Tommy Torres, Juan Guzman Jr., Jose Carlos Guzman Jr., Alan Daniel Renteria, Jacob M. Olvera, Derrick Isaiah Guzman, Mickel Gonzales Jr., and Renida Guzman.
