Obituary of Jose G. Vasquez Jr.

Jose G. Vasquez Jr., 65, of San Benito, Texas passed away on Monday, January 28, 2019, in Carrizo Springs, Texas. He was raised in Crystal City, Texas. Jose was a loving husband, a terrific father and grandfather. He was a humble one of a kind person who was loved and admired by all he came in contact with.

He is preceded in death by his father, Jose G. Vasquez Sr.; mother, Irene Vasquez; and brothers, Gilberto Vasquez and Juan G. Vasquez.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 45 years, Guadalupe A. Vasquez; daughter, Esmeralda V. Muñoz; son-in-law, Robert Muñoz; and son, Jose Alberto Vasquez; daughter-in-law, Dulce Gutierrez; grandchildren, Jose Alberto Vasquez Jr., Isela V. Muñoz, Gabriel Adrian G. Vasquez, Robert Muñoz, Israel N.G. Vasquez, Angel Rafael G. Vasquez, and Ilianna Muñoz; sister, Rosa Corona; brothers, Asencion Vasquez and Gerardo Vasquez.

Visitation will begin Friday, February 1, 2019, from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a service at 7:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, Texas.

A chapel service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 2, 2019, at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home with inturnment to follow at San Benito Memorial Park in San Benito, TX.
