Obituary of Elvia M. Torres
Elvia M. Torres, 64, of Port Isabel, Texas passed away on Saturday, January 12, 2019 in Harlingen, Texas.
She was a devoted wife, mother, sister and loving grandmother. Always putting herself last, and sharing her compassion, strength and overwhelming love with everyone around her. Dedicating her extra time between her local Catholic Church and traveling to visit her grandchildren. She surrounded herself with plants, flowers, and music over her phone. You always knew you could stop by her home for a shoulder to cry on, a warm cup of coffee, and cookies to share. She was our definition of strength and community, and her everlasting commitment to help those around her was always rewarded with God's love and blessings.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Celso and Magdalena Martinez; brothers, Salvador Martinez and Arnulfo Martinez Sr.; and sister, Hilda Martinez.
She is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Patricio Torres; children, Rodney (Estela) Torres, Princess (Freddy) Alamo, and Patricio (Vennesa) Torres Jr.; grandchildren, Lauren Torres, Gabriella Torres, Jaylen Torres, Brianna Torres, Dylan Alamo, Belicia Alamo, and Wy-Elle Torres; step grandchildren, Lino Alvarado III and Sylvia Alvarado; siblings, Crescencio (Marina) Martinez Sr., Constancio (Lucila) Martinez Sr., Irma Martinez (Manuel Sr.) Rivera, Rodolfo (Minerva) Martinez Sr., Herlinda Martinez (Albert) Alvarado, Celso (Rosa) Martinez III, Magdalena Martinez, Orlando Martinez Sr., Hector (Sylvia) Martinez Sr., Cornelio (Azucena) Martinez, and Elsa Martinez Alvarez; and numerous nephews and nieces.
