Obituary of Arturo G. Vega

Arturo G. Vega, 83, of San Benito, Texas passed away on Saturday, December 15, 2018 in Harlingen, Texas.

He is preceded in death by his 2 daughters, Florita Vega Riojas and Maria Guadalupe Garza; parents, Matias and Estela Vega as well as 1 brother Rogerio Vega.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife Luisa G. “Maria” Vega; 7 children, Eloisa (Alfredo) Resendez, Irma Estella Vega, Rosario (Rosendo) Muniz, Gloria Salinas, Leticia (Lionel) Rodriguez, Marisela (Jerry) Guzman and Irene Vega; 16 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, as well as other family members.

He loved fishing and barbequing with his family. He will be greatly missed by his family. Thank you to all the staff of La Hacienda Healthcare in Harlingen for all their loving care.

Visitation will begin Monday, December 17, 2018, from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, Texas.

A chapel service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 18, 2018, at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home with interment to follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park.
