Obituary of Juan Rolando Gurrola
Juan Rolando Gurrola aka “Johnny” was born in Elgin, Illinois on October 21, 1982. He was 36 years old when a tragic accident took his life. Johnny was raised in south Texas and enjoyed traveling and moving from Texas to Kansas, Michigan, Illinois and Wisconsin for better opportunities to provide for his twelve children: John Malachi, John Dominick, John Draven, Elizangela, Aja-Monique, Deanija, John Elgin, John Elijah, Angelic, John Keaun, Miracle, and Harvey.
He was not married as he could not settle with any one person due to the love and devotion to his children. He picked the names of all his children to be strong, unique and some even biblical. His strength and “FREE-SPIRIT” is something he obtained from his mother, Elizabeth Robles. Johnny had a great sense of humor and always found a way to make people laugh and smile. He found the positive in all circumstances. He always enjoyed spending time with his family going fishing, camping and at any given moment he would have an idea or invention he would call his grandpa - Rolando G Robles, his uncle – Rolando Robles, and his brother – Jeremy Serrato to share the news and ask them if they would join in his invention. He was a hard-worker, just to name a few, as a meat cutter and trimmer for Tyson, to a fork-lift driver and his final job as a truck driver for N&M Transfer Co, Inc.
He leaves behind a great legacy and many great memories and ideas. Some of which we hope to accomplish someday. He will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his mother Elizabeth Robles, maternal – grandfather Rolando G. Robles, uncle Rolando M. Robles, aunt Lorraine Leal. His brothers Jacob Robles and Jeremy Serrato and sister Janalee Trevino and other relatives.
He is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother Dalia Robles.
