Obituary of Ovidio Espinoza
Ovidio Espinoza, 89, of San Benito, Texas, passed away on Saturday, November 10, 2018, in Harlingen, Texas.
Ovidio was a devoted Christian who touched a lot of lives by his faith. He owned and operated Danny’s Grocery Store in La Paloma, Texas. Ovidio was also retired after 35 years as a General Foreman with Cameron County. Espinoza Street in San Benito, Texas was named after him. Ovidio’s father-in-law was Narciso Martinez “El Huracan del Valle.”
He is preceded in death by his wife, Tiburcia Espinoza; granddaughter, Jovana Castillo; and son-in-law, Bernadino Castillo.
Ovidio is survived by his loving children, Diana Castillo, Dalia Briones, Delvia Leoni, Daniel Espinoza, and Ovidio Espinoza Jr.; 11 grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will begin Tuesday, November 13, 2018, from 12:00 noon to 9:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, Texas.
A chapel service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 14, 2018, at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home with interment to follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park in San Benito, Texas.
