Obituary of Margarita Guillen

Margarita Guillen, 79, of San Benito, Texas, passed away on Monday, September 10, 2018, at her residence in San Benito.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Geronimo and Maura Leija; two granddaughters, Mara Velasco and Maria Elena Zamarripa; and sister, Blanca Leija.

Margarita is survived by her loving husband, Humberto Guillen; children: Yolanda (Fidel) Morales, Silvia Sanchez, Dora (Obed) Velasco, Robert Guillen, Jose Angel Guillen, and Maribel Guillen; 26 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; 5 sisters, Josefina Carranco, Carmela Leija, Maria Elena Leija, Teresa Guardiola, and Sara Leija; and 4 brothers, Bernabe Leija, Carlos Leija, Benjamin Leija, and Andres Leija.

Visitation will begin Friday, September 14, 2018, from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, Texas.

A chapel service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 15, 2018, at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park in San Benito, Texas.
