Bertha A. “Chubby” Garcia, 78, of San Benito, Texas, passed away on Monday, September 10, 2018, in Harlingen, Texas.

 

She is preceded in death by 2 great-grandsons, Trevin Ohmar Anguiano and Traviz Luke Anguiano; biological parents, Filiberto Elizondo and Natividad Gonzalez de Elizondo; and adopted parents, Augustine Gonzalez and Guadalupe Elizondo de Gonzalez.

 

Bertha is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Jesus R. Garcia; children, Jesus Angel G. Garcia, Jennifer Wendy G. Molano, and Juan Carlos G. Garcia; 8 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and 1 sister, Maria Magdalena G. Rodriguez

 

Visitation will begin Thursday, September 13, 2018, from 12:00 noon to 9:00 p.m. with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, Texas.

 

Funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday September 14, 2018, at St. Benedict Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park in San Benito, Texas.
