Obituary of Ula Bennett
Ula Bennett, born May 18, 1940, passed away on Thursday, August 30, 2018.
She was a resident of the Port Isabel area for over 60 years and a member of the First Baptist Church for many years.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Ruby Bowker; two brothers, Arlen and Phillip Bowker; also her beloved husband, Charles Edward Bennett Sr.; and son, Charles Edward Bennett Jr.
She is survived by her siblings and in-laws, Robert and Alberta Bowker, Sandra Samples, Mark and Joyce Bowker; a daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and George NeSmith; daughter-in-law, Linda Salazar Bennett; grandchildren, Lacy and Zac Teegerstrom, Justin and Jessica NeSmith, Carlos and Ashley Salazar, Joseph, Joelly, Aitza, and Nathan Bennett; great-grandchildren, D’Anna Kern, Noah and Henley Teegerstrom, Kirra, Kyle, and Kylie NeSmith. She is also survived by many loving relatives who are too numerous to name but whom Ula loved dearly.
Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 8, 2018, with a chapel service to begin at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Bill Waddell officiating at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, Texas with cremation to follow in accordance with her wishes.
