Obituary of Maria Juanita Aguirre

Maria Juanita Aguirre, 91, was called home Monday August 20, 2018. Juanita was a loving wife, mother, grandmother who enjoyed singing and spending time with her family.  She was a lifetime resident of San Benito and a member of St. Benedict Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband Porfirio S Aguirre.

Surviving to cherish her memories are her five sons and daughter, Porfirio (Patricia) Aguirre Jr., Mario (Lisa) Aguirre, Noe (Mary) Aguirre, Tony (Tita) Aguirre, Roel Aguirre, Elsa (Gilbert) Pena. As well as 18 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, 10 great great great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend heartfelt gratitude to her long loving, dedicated caregivers, Isabel Avila and Chrissy Lopez, who took tremendous care of Juanita for 12 years.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 22, 2018, from 12:00 noon to 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. at Thomae Garza Funeral Home, San Benito, Texas.

A holy mass celebrating her life will be held on Thursday, Aug 23, 2018 at St. Benedict Catholic Church, San Benito at 10:00 a.m.  Burial will follow at Mont Meta Cemetary.
