Obituary of Richard Wiess Follmer

Richard Wiess Follmer, 84, of Port Isabel, Texas passed away on Friday, April 27, 2018 in Harlingen, Texas. "Richard” was born and raised in Beaumont, Tx. by a loving family. He attended and graduated Lamar Tech, where he met his wife and life long companion. His employment with Crawford and Co. led the family to Duluth, Mn., where he proudly retired after 40+ years.

He is preceded in death by his parents Henry and Francis Follmer, 2 brothers; Henry Ellis Follmer Jr., and Jack Everett Follmer.

Richard is survived by his loving wife Camila Holland Follmer, 4 daughters; Charlotte Ann Follmer, Janice Kay Follmer, Lisa Gale Quarles and Katherine Marie Pulkingham, 4 sons; David Lynn Follmer, Phillip Wayne Follmer, Richard Gary Follmer and Gregory Carl Follmer., 8 Grandchildren and three great grandchildren; 1 sister; Mary Elizabeth Follmer, one brother; Michael Roy Follmer, as well as other relatives.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church located at 705 S. Longoria Street in Port Isabel Texas.
