I’m so sorry for your loss. I wanted to share a promise god has made, that can bring us hope for now and in the future. The scripture is found at Revelation 21: 4-“And he (God) will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.”

Although your hearts are filled with pain and sorrow, my hope is that you gain comfort from God's promise to reunite us with our loved ones on the earth; never having to say goodbye again. For Jesus will make this earth the problem-free paradise that his Father intended it to be. Revelation 21:4; and John 5:28, 29 speaks of that resurrection. It is with heavy hearts that we offer our condolences to Gerry’s loved ones during this sad time. We had the pleasure of knowing Gerry as a friend and as a colleague working together at the UTPA/UTRGV Border Health Office. Gerry was instrumental in helping us develop a statewide online certification training for school nurses that has become the pinnacle of our program. Before Gerry joined our effort to develop this program, others had tried and failed - but Gerry succeeded. Brilliant, humble, funny, friendly and always willing to help are the words that describe Gerry. We will always carry his memory in our hearts and remember him for all of the great things he did for us and for all the great times we had together. God bless you, Gerry, and God bless your family!
