Obituary of Mark Anthony Strunk

Mark Anthony Strunk, 70, of Laguna Vista, Texas passed away peacefully at home on Monday, April 16, 2018.

Mark was a loving husband, proud father and grandfather. He served in the United States Army.  He loved cars and working with his hands.  He married and moved to South Texas to start a family. Mark worked as a carpenter for over 30 years. He enjoyed being a father and his past time was having barbeques and watching Wheel of Fortune.  He was always there to help his children with household projects or whatever else they needed.

He is preceded in death by his parents; John and Mariam Strunk and two brothers.

Mark is survived by his loving wife; Barbara Strunk, daughters; Terri Hulsey and Lesley Bryant, son; Daniel Strunk, siblings; Barbara  Dunnermann, Alice (Clarence) Rosemann, Judy Finley, Jon E. Boettler, Michael (Marion) Strunk, Diana Brush, Warren (Kathy) Strunk, Marcia Dreisewerd, Terry (Claire) Strunk, Mary Jean (David) Karll, Susan (Melvin) Burkemper, grandchildren; Daniel Lee Bryant, step-grandchildren; Eric, Sandra, Jessica, Melissa, and Justin, great-grandchildren; Devaun, Tristan, Aubrie, C.J., Laney and Lennox.

He will be truly missed.

Memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 19, 2018 at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church, 705 S. Longoria St. in Port Isabel, Texas.

Military honors to be conducted following the mass.
