Obituary of Stella Sanchez

Baby Stella was born on February 12, 2018 at twenty-two weeks and six days at 8:25 a.m.  Our precious girl fought very hard and defied all the odds for five weeks.  She enjoyed listening to her mommy and daddy read her daily bedtime stories and listening to her favorite lullabies.  She liked to give her nurses a hard time by pulling at her cords.  She was baptized in her catholic faith and was prayed for by many.  Our Stella gained her angel wings while in the arms of her mommy and holding the hand of her daddy on March 19, 2018.  She was so loved and will be greatly missed by all who’s heart she touched.

She is preceded in death by her paternal grandmother; Alicia Sanchez, maternal great grandparents; Pedro and Margarita Trevino and Estanislado and Antonia Limon, and paternal great grandfather; Pedro Sanchez.

Baby Stella is survived by her loving parents; Pete and Ymelda Sanchez, big brother; Shane Sanchez, big sister; Sophia Sanchez, Grandparents; Luis and Rosie Limon, great grandmother; Sabina Sanchez, aunts; Michelle (Daniel) Ruelas, Sonya (Rick) Gutierrez, and Ruby (Christian) Rodriguez, uncles; JJ( Abby) Leal and Juan Carlos Leal, and several other loving great aunts, uncles, cousins, and other relatives.

We would like to thank the NICU doctors and nurses at Rio Grande Regional Hospital in McAllen, Texas who cared for our sweet girl.  You all are angels on earth. We would like to thank everyone who kept our beautiful princess in prayer.

The family has asked to wear white in honor of their angel.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 24, 2018 from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. with a chapel service at 3:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, Texas with burial to follow at Las Rucias Cemetery.
