Obituary of Juan Barrientos Rivas

Juan Barrientos Rivas, 74, of San Benito, Texas, passed away on March 10, 2018 in Harlingen, Texas.

Juan was preceded in death by parents, Jose and Dolores Barrientos Rivas; one son, Juan Rivas Jr.; one daughter, Norma Linda Rivas; two sisters: Maria Rivas and Flora Rivas; and three brothers: Domingo, Esteban, and Salvador Rivas.

He is survived by his wife, Felicitas Rivas; seven grandchildren: Edward De La Rosa, Linda De La Rosa, Crystal De La Rosa, Jerry Salazar, Albert Salazar, J.J. Rivas, and Denise Rivas; three great-grandchildren: one sister, Dominga Rivas; and one brother, Lupe Rivas.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 22, 2018 from 12 noon to 9:00 p.m., with a rosary at 7:00 p.m., at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home. In accordance to his wishes, cremation will follow after the service.
