Obituary of Enrique D. Delgado

Enrique “Kike” D. Delgado Sr., 61, of Port Isabel, Texas, entered into eternal rest on Friday, March 16, 2018, in Port Isabel, Texas.

Kike was the perfect definition of a happy, hardworking family man.  He loved and enjoyed his wife, kids, grandkids and all of his family.  He loved to be joking around and laughing with everyone.  He would still want us to be happy and smiling because he never liked to see anyone crying.  Please don’t cry for me, I can hunt all year long now, Im going to be able to shoot a big buck that always got away,  I can smell it.  “One shot one kill”.

He is preceded in death by his father; Ramon Delgado, mother; Lydia Delgado and 1 sister; Emilia Wirche.

Kike is survived by his loving wife; Maria Beatriz Delgado, 2 sons; Ramon Carlos (Rosa) Delgado and Enrique (Mariana) Delgado Jr., 1 daughter; Melinda Belen Delgado, grandchildren; Enrique Cesar Delgado III, Mariana Daniela Delgado and Carlos Angel Delgado, Siblings; Lillie D. (Joe) Floyd, Ramiro Tito ( Carmen) Delgado, Danny (Diana) Delgado, Jose Lino Delgado, Jesse (Ana) Delgado, Ray (Lupita) Delgado, Roger (Lucy) Delgado, Alicia (Tommy) Montelongo and Rosa (Merced) Cantu, his 3 dogs; Rocky I, Rocky II and Bailey as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Honored to be serving as pallbearers are Enrique Delgado Jr., Enrique Cesar Delgado III, Ramiro Delgado, Danny Delgado, Jose Lino Delgado, Jesse Delgado, Ray Delgado and Roger Delgado.

Visitation will be held on Monday, March 19, 2018 from 10:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Thomae Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, Texas, and then continue  from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a rosary at 7:00 p.m., at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church located at 705 S. Longoria St.  in Port Isabel, Texas.

Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church with burial to follow at Port Isabel City Cemetery.
